How to start your first Unifire™ Grill

Igniting your first Unifire™

To kickstart your Unifire experience, begin by thoughtfully stacking your wood in the fire pit. Arrange the logs in pairs, much like constructing a quaint log cabin, ensuring the bark faces outward. This little trick helps in reducing smoke formation.

Remember, the outdoor temperature plays a key role in heating your cooking surface. In the warmer months of spring and summer, it takes about 20-25 minutes, while in the cooler fall and winter, it might range from 40-50 minutes.

For the first 30 minutes, keep your fire modest. This allows the cooking plate to heat up evenly and settle in just right. Once the plate is amply hot, it's time for some culinary magic. Drizzle it with olive oil and evenly spread it using a kitchen towel. This process helps blend the olive oil with the initial factory oil, making it easier to cleanse the surface. Repeat the oil drizzle 2 times, and voilà, your Unifire™ is primed and ready for a feast of flavors!

Additionally, we advise rubbing the grill plate with fresh herbs such as rosemary or thyme to flavor up the cooking plate. Some people also sprinkle it with salt, enhancing the taste and adding an extra layer of seasoning to your plate.
