Choosing the right wood for your Unifire™ Grill

Choosing the right wood for your Unifire™

When it comes to fueling your Unifre experience, the choice of wood plays a pivotal role. We've found that beech wood is exceptionally suitable, burning down to create a rich bed of charcoal perfect for cooking. Hickory is another great choice, offering a similar quality burn.

For the ideal burn, we recommend logs around 4 x 12 inches. It's best to steer clear of larger pieces. While they might ignite quickly, they often don't burn down efficiently due to limited oxygen space in the fire pit. For the best results, use very dry wood, ideally without bark, and with a maximum humidity of 18-20%.

Planning a full evening of culinary adventure lasting 4 hours? On average, you'll need roughly one cu. ft. wood bag, which can vary based on the outdoor temperature and weather conditions. With the right wood, your Unifire™ will be more than just a cooking station; it'll be the heart of your gathering, creating the perfect ambiance and flavors.
